my friends sometimes call me 'fag' as a joke and i know they don't mean it, they don't realise it's offensive so i don't know whether to say anything because that word really bothers me but they don't mean it so am i just being overly sensitive??

Oh no, you’re perfectly within your right to tell them to knock it off. It’s like if you were black and your friends kept dropping the n word around you. If it offends you, then they shouldn’t do it.
